On a personal level, I think we, the human race, are headed for some interesting times. One has to catch the daily news to see what I mean. Be it man made or natural calamaties, things seem to be headed towards a downward spiral for us.
The Middle East continues to be a hotpsot with the latest being the Isreali ground offensive against Hamas is Gaza. The discord will only get wider and only bring more distrust and hatred between fellow humans.
Catch phrases such as New World Order, World Trade Organization and so on, which were suppose to have ushered in an era of global economic prosperity has not materialized but instead resulted mayhem for all.
Environmentally, it a similar secnario. Talks in Rio De Jenario and Kyoto have remained mere talk. Nations are still plundering the Earth's resources, carbon emmission are up, global warming and large scale natural calamaties are now a norm. (Besides the continue loss of glacier and sea ice, there have been recent earth movements in United States and parts of Asia. Seasonal monsoon rains have also been eratic)
If there is a more screwed creation of God, then I am of the opinion its us....we are like some kind of virus and cancer that has eaten away not only the Earth but our very selves. I just hope and pray for God's Second Coming...as this would signify the end of the present age.
